4 Times Trump Flat Out Lied About Collusion During The Election

As the Trump spin machine goes into overdrive trying to contain a raging dumpster fire in the wake of the recent report by the New York Times in which Donald, Jr.’s actual motives for meeting with Natalia Veselnitskaya, let’s take a look back at a few of the president’s denials. Of course there have been countless denials by Spicer, Huckabee Sanders, etc. but these came from the man himself.

On 5/11/2017: Trump told Lester Holt, “There is no collusion between me and my campaign and the Russians.”

During a news conference on 5/18/2017, Trump said, “The entire thing has been a witch hunt. And there is no collusion between certainly myself and my campaign, but I can always speak for myself — and the Russians, zero.”

During a news conference on 6/9/2017, Trump said, “No collusion, no obstruction. [James Comey’s] a leaker.”

Trump was interviewed by Fox and Friends on 6/23/2017. He was asked again about the allegations that his campaign colluded with Russia. Trump said, “Look, there has been no obstruction. There has been no collusion. There has been leaking by Comey. But there’s been no collusion, no obstruction and virtually everybody agrees to that.”

But, alas, his apology never came! What he does have is a son, a son-in-law, and a former campaign manager whose actions in June 2016 have expanded the lexicon from collusion and obstruction to… collusion, obstruction, perjury, and treason.

Sad!
