A White House Reporter Had Enough And Went Completely Ballistic On Sarah Huckabee Sanders

In case you missed it and in case you needed more proof that the Trump administration is nothing but a bunch of bullies, look no further that this.

Deputy Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders got into a tense argument with Brian Karem, a White House Correspondent and Executive Editor for the Sentinel newspapers, back in June. The heated exchanged followed Sanders saying that, “… if we make the slightest mistake, the slightest word is off, it is just an absolute tirade from… a lot of people in this room. But news outlets get to go on, day after day, and cite unnamed sources — use stories without sources…” Sanders then went on to mention the since-retracted CNN story which led to the resignation of three reporters.

Karem interjected that any of the White House correspondents are replaceable (as evidenced by the resignations) whereas Sanders will be serving for four years. The implication was that the journalists face consequences when they err. The same cannot be said for argued for members of Trump’s administration. At least not until they err to such an extent that the president finds them to be a liability. Mr. Karem argued that Sanders’s statement was “inflammatory” and that “everybody in this room is only trying to do their job.”

Brian Karem was interviewed after the entire ordeal by MSNBC’s Morning Joe. He told the hosts, “We’ve been called the enemy of the people from that White House, we’ve been told that we’re fake news. We are bullied and brow-beaten every day, and I pretty much have had enough of it. There are really only two ways to deal with a bully. You can either turn them into your friend, I don’t think that’s a possibility, or you can let them know exactly what’s up and that you’re not going to take the bullying anymore. And we can’t take the bullying anymore.”

Tensions between the White House and the media have been at an all-time high since Trump took the oval office. Karem added, “For the government to sit there and undermine, essentially, what is a very essential checks and balances in the system, it’s disheartening. It’s unnerving.” Couldn’t agree more.
