After Trump Spoke Out On Mueller, Joe Scarborough Went Off Script And Told Him Off On Live TV

Special Counsel Robert Mueller has aimed for his next target – President Trump. The next step for Mueller’s team seems to be questioning the President on what he knows about Russia’s interference in the 2016 election, but Trump’s lawyers are keeping him away. They are trying to convince him that sitting for Mueller’s questioning is a bad idea, and with his track record for lying, it’s with good reason. On MSNBC’s Morning Joe, Joe Scarborough expressed his incredulity as to this crazy situation.

“Just think about this – if you want to know where we are right now, this is where we are with the President…Basically the lawyers don’t want him to talk to Robert Mueller,” said Scarborough. “Important because they know that Robert Mueller’s a lot smarter than Donald Trump. So, Donald Trump’s begin lead around by the nose by his lawyers and everybody else, they don’t believe he’s smart enough to handle Bob Mueller, but they also say this – his lawyers are concerned….His lawyers are concerned that the President, who has a history of making false statements and contradicting himself, could be charged with lying to the prosecutor.”

Using his position on TV to speak directly to the President, Scarborough went on to tell Trump exactly what he should do. Ignore his lawyers, listen to his heart, and hopefully, you know, indict himself.

“Mr. President, your own lawyers think you are too stupid, and too much of a liar, to stand up to the heat that Bob Mueller is going to send your direction,” said Scarborough. “So if I had lawyers that thought I was too stupid to talk to Bob Mueller, I’ll tell you what I’d do, what any man would do, or any woman would do, that had any confidence in themselves, they would do that interview. And they would show those lawyers they’re not scared. That they don’t have small hands, that they’re not timid. That they have big, beautiful hands and they have a big beautiful mind, and they’re not going to let their lawyers think that they’re too stupid, and too much of a liar, to talk to Bob Mueller.”

We live in a world where we can’t trust the President not to lie or contradict himself. However, Scarborough is right – this is potentially the greatest gift Trump has ever given us. If Mueller gets his way, and he really does go under oath to testify, and he does exactly what we all expect him to do – lie and contradict – this really and truly could be the end for #45.
