Brett Kavanaugh Receives Bad News About The FBI Investigation Into His Sexual Assault

It’s all over for the Democrats on Brett Kavanaugh. He’s confirmed into the Supreme Court and there’s nothing we can do about it. Or is there?

This past weekend Kavanaugh was confirmed by a 50-48 point vote in the Senate, one that came with about as much baggage as you could humanly imagine. Damning sexual assault accusations from multiple women including Christine Blasey Ford threatened to derail the SCOTUS confirmation. Ultimately, Kavanaugh was appointed by the vote. But what happened before that?

The FBI investigation into Bretty Kavanaugh was both necessary and quick. The latter being a bit strange. How could an FBI investigation into sexual assault accusations take so little time? It doesn’t make much sense. And that’s exactly what Nancy Pelosi intends to find out.

Pelosi literally just went on record and filed a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request to obtain the documents, in full, about the Kavanaugh FBI investigation. Her inquiry could be seen as a desperate grasp at straws, but there’s a deeper meaning going on here. Many on the left believe the investigation was short, hurried, and inadequately processed. Which, given the severity of the claims and the time spent to come to a conclusion, isn’t very far fetched at all.

Pelosi, in a statement, said, “The GOP’s decision to confirm Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court has wounded the very soul of justice in our country. To preserve the full record of this dark chapter, I am filing a FOIA request so the public can see the FBI report, transcripts of interviews, instructions from the White House, and any communications to the FBI from Senate Republicans regarding the scope of the investigation. This is important to set the record straight.”

But it goes farther than this, Senator Kamala Harris (D), who is a part of the Judiciary Committee, said to the Senate during the hearing, “We were given one week to investigate. The Republicans said you’ll get one week, they threw out one week. And in less than one week, we are presented with paltry documents.”

Ultimately it doesn’t matter how many Democrats say the investigation was too short. What matters even more is that there is a huge need to restore justice to this country, especially in the sexual harassment area. Week long FBI investigations, with little to no facts or time to properly do their jobs, is quite frankly unacceptable. This is setting a dangerous precedent that people don’t have to have all the facts to get off from heinous crimes.

No matter what side of the isle you are on, this should wreak of favoritism and injustice.
