Chuck Todd Just Put Everything In Perspective On Trump And His Disgusting Tweets

Donald Trump’s tweet storm targeting MSNBC hosts Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski continues to stoke outrage.

Initially, the outrage seemed relegated to the left. But eventually the controversy was sufficient for prominent Republicans to speak out against Trump.

Senator Lindsey Graham tweeted, “Mr. President, your tweet was beneath the office and represents what is wrong with American politics…”

Speaker of the House Paul Ryan told a reporter, “Obviously, I don’t see that as an appropriate comment. What we’re trying to do around here is improve the tone and the civility of the debate. And this obviously doesn’t help do that.” Obviously?

Chuck Todd, current host of Meet The Press, offered a different perspective.

This is true. Sadly, shortly after the First Lady finally made her way to the White House, it was announced she had paused what was supposed to have been her cause-of-choice: combatting online bullying.

We are supposed to take bullying seriously. Not only are parents encouraged to check that their kids are neither bullying others, nor being bullied — in recent years, children have been expected to rise above being a bystander to bullying. They’re supposed to check their peers. But who has checked our president? Nobody. It’s fine for Ryan, Graham, and company to check the barometer and realize it’s time to lightly chide Trump —- but who will actually hold him accountable?

Who has ever held this man accountable?
