Everyone Thought Mueller’s Investigation Was Over…Wrong: “It Is Continuing Robustly”

When the news about the results from the probe of Special Counsel Robert Mueller came out recently, my heart sank a little. Actually, make that a lot. We have a man in the White House who has had to deny being an active Russian agent while also serving as President of the United States and leader of the free world and whose campaign got up to all kinds of dodgy things, to the extent that many people remain certain there was collusion going on to help him get elected in 2016. Yet, somehow, even after indicting and charging several of his most senior allies over the last few months, Robert Mueller appeared to exonerate Donald Trump by claiming that he had failed to find any evidence to suggest he was engaging in collusion, even though there is still a question mark over the charge of obstruction of justice. How can this be? Trump is obviously not innocent.

It was not long, of course, before a whole host of left wing commentators pointed out in brutal detail what is going on here. As we at Blue Side Nation have been closely and attentively reporting, the report has not been made public. All we have to go on at this stage is a brief summary of it from Attorney General Bill Barr – a close friend of the Trump family – which is obviously not very trustworthy at all since it does not even contain a single quote from the Special Counsel. We must not give up on Robert Mueller yet – recent reports suggest that he is just as furious as we are about the way the right wing establishment is trying to cover this up even now. He has announced that the probe is actually still ongoing, and there is plenty more to come:

The special counsel grand jury that investigated Russian collusion into the 2016 presidential election is “continuing robustly” despite the end of Robert Mueller’s probe, a federal prosecutor said in court Wednesday. The revelation — while laced with uncertainty — indicates that the ongoing cases Mueller handed off after concluding his probe could still feature significant developments, legal experts said.

David Goodhand, an assistant U.S. attorney, acknowledged the grand jury’s active status during a hearing in U.S. District Court over a push to unveil the identity of a foreign state-owned firm that has been held in contempt for defying a Mueller subpoena. The mystery company’s case was denied a hearing before the Supreme Court earlier this week, and in the meantime, the open government group Reporters Committee for the Freedom of the Press has sought access to all materials in the clandestine litigation, including the company’s identity.

Clearly, there are many more questions that need answers here, and Mueller is the man to find them.
