Fact Check On Trump Finds He Tells An Average Of 15 Lies Per Day, Few People Actually Believe Him

The sheer audacity embodied on a daily basis by President Donald Trump and many members of his administration is truly staggering. Stretching all the way back to the inauguration when, as one example out of many, senior aide and longtime adviser and confidant Kellyanne Conway was confronted with solid photographic evidence that Trump’s claims about crowd sizes were false, leading her to claim that Trump was not lying but presenting “alternative facts”. Here at Blue Side Nation, we find it utterly incredible any person could be so amazingly blind that they still believe they can convince people they are telling the truth when spouting this kind of stuff.

Thankfully, at long last, it might just be that Trump’s butchering of the truth might be about to come to an end, thanks to some research from the Washington Post which will force him to confront the reality of the damage his constant lies are doing to his very own presidency. According to the devastating report, the President makes an incredible 15 false statements every single day. Of course, most of them are on Twitter, but many are in official statements and press addresses too.

“The fusillade of tweets is just the start,” says the report. “2018 was a year of unprecedented deception during which Trump became increasingly unmoored from the truth. When 2018 began, the president had made 1,989 false and misleading claims, according to The Fact Checker’s database, which tracks every suspect statement uttered by the president. By the end of the year, Trump had accumulated more than 7,600 untruths during his presidency — averaging more than 15 erroneous claims a day during 2018, almost triple the rate from the year before.”

That is mind boggling. Even if you were making a conscious effort to lie as much as possible, it would be very difficult to manage those kinds of numbers, let alone keep them up for an entire year. But here’s the kicker: more people than ever before are starting to realize that nothing this President said can be trusted.

According to the research, fewer than 3 in 10 Americans actually believe those lies that Trump is routinely trotting out. Even among his own supports, fewer than 1 in 6 actually accepted a majority of what he says as true – and even among those super loyal fans of his, there were many who admitted that he does sometimes bend the truth, to put it mildly.

This is big. This could be the turning point when he cannot ride this wave of naivety any longer.
