Republican Lawmakers Turn On Trump And Get Disgusting Response Back

President Trump has been extra ornery the last couple of weeks. While he has always presided as a sort of fascist emperor, he has really ramped up the threats and intimidation of his own party, particularly with regard to his twice-failed “health care” plan.

During a campaign rally — because inexplicably he never stopped campaigning — in Youngstown, Trump seized the opportunity to fire yet another full clip of warning shots.  The president said, “For seven years, every Republican running for office promised to repeal and replace this disastrous law. Now they must keep their promise. The senate is working to not only to repeal Obamacare but to deliver great healthcare for the American people,” he continued. Any senator who votes against repeal and replace is telling America that they are fine with the Obamacare nightmare… and I predict that they’ll have a lot of problems.”

To be clear, the vote is only to debate the current iteration of the Senate’s health care bill. Even so, the stench is so foul that Lisa Murkowski (R-AK) and Susan Collins (R-ME) joined all Democrats in voting against the procedural measure to begin the debate on the repeal legislation.

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY), who is largely credited as creator of the Better Care Reconciliation Act of 2017 blueprint, is expected to offer a alternative measure. This would involve repealing Obamacare with a two-year delay.

How hard is Trump willing to push? Trump, who famously said of Arizona Senator John McCain, “He’s not a war hero. He was a war hero because he was captured. I like people who weren’t captured,” is now sending McCain gratitude via twitter.

He had considerably less kind words for Senator Murkowski.

For anyone who ever doubted that James Comey drew Trump’s ire by refusing to kiss his proverbial ring, refusing swear an oath of loyalty to the president himself… well… what do you think?
