Sarah Huckabee Sanders Just Tried To Lie To The Press, But Got Called Out On Her BS Immediately

It’s so ridiculous. I hope you are able to laugh at this ridiculousness along with me, because I abhor laughing alone.

During a press briefing on Wednesday, reporter for One America News Network Trey Yingst asked Press Secretary Sarah H. Sanders about President Trump’s perennial claim that the United States is the highest taxed nation in the world. That’s not true, of course. According to CNBC, Luxembourg is the highest taxed nation per person, paying on average $42,700 per person, while Denmark has the highest GDP in the world, at 49.6%. In comparison, the United States average person pays about $14,800 in taxes every year, while our GDP is at 25.9%.

But Sanders says that that’s not what the President says when he says we pay the highest taxes. Obviously. Watch this video to hear the maddening exchange.

Oh! So then, if Trump has been talking about the corporate tax rate this whole time, why didn’t he just say so?

Because he wants the American people to believe he is doing something for their benefit, when all he is truly saying is a “tax cut” – while conveniently forgetting to insert the word “corporate” at the beginning of the phrase – will only benefit himself and the other most well-off citizens of this nation. Deplorable.

Wait, but wait though. Of course, because why would it be, this isn’t even true! We are not even the nation with the highest corporate tax in the world. The honor belongs to the United States Emirates, then to Puerto Rico, then to U.S.

Are you laughing with me now?
