Sean Hannity Wanted An Exclusive Interview, But Lawyer Shot Back With A Response For The Ages

Media pariah Sean Hannity is on the warpath again. After conducting a softball interview with Roy Moore, a U.S. Senate candidate who thinks dating teens at 32 wasn’t unusual in his time and has had multiple sexual assault allegations levied against him, Hannity wanted to gain the other viewpoint.

To accomplish this, a producer from his show reached out to Gloria Deason, one of the women who accused Moore of sexual harassment. Gloria’s lawyer, Paula Cobia, gave an awesome response to Hannity’s proposal.

“Thank you for the invite. Please tell Sean Hannity that I would never submit a survivor of sexual abuse to the inevitable on-camera bullying and prosecution by him. Mr. Hannity chose to believe and support Roy Moore immediately after learning about the numerous accusations against him describing sexual assault, child molestation, and harassment.”

Kudos to Ed Krassenstein for publishing Cobia’s whole response. There were other gems in this short but blistering rejection including:

“Mr. Hannity is totally uninterested in discovering the truth. He gave Mr. Moore a lazy, softball interview which his own panel did not find credible. It is laughable to assume Mr. Hannity is capable of giving a fair and balanced interview.”

Cobia’s grilling of Hannity isn’t without merit. After all, it isn’t as if Hannity has ever been viewed as a credible journalist outside of the small far-right wing bubble who hold his words as gospel.

This aside, the fact he wanted to bring a woman who Moore allegedly sexually harassed on national TV to grill her is desperation and poor taste to the highest degree. Instead of letting justice work everything out, Hannity wants to be the judge and the jury. However, as Paula astutely pointed out, this doesn’t work when the person conducting the interview isn’t credible, let alone disinterested in pursuing the truth.
