Senior House Democrat Promises To Summon Trump’s New Attorney General To Question Him

Not long ago, Blue Side Nation reported that senior Trump allies such as Steve Bannon and Donald Trump Jr. had plenty of reason to be extremely worried because, since the Democrats retook control of the House of Representatives at the midterm elections, the new Democratic House Intelligence Committee will be looking to thoroughly pursue many very troubling investigations for the administration. Now, new reports have emerged suggesting that Trump and his cronies might have even more to worry about – not just from the Intelligence Committee, but from the House Judiciary Committee too.

Rep. Jerry Nadler of New York is a senior House Democrat who is set to be installed as the new Chair of the House Judiciary Committee very soon, which will put him in a very strong position to send out subpoenas left, right and center and generally cause havoc for those close to the President – and the President himself, of course.

Speaking to CNN‘s Jake Tapper on the network’s State of the Union programme, Nadler promised that he will be using his newly acquired powers fully and not skimping on the potential chaos he could bring about at all. Specifically, he pledged that he would be summoning in Matthew Whitaker as a matter of urgency.

Matthew Whitaker, remember, is the new Acting Attorney General of the United States. As Blue Side Nation reported recently, following the sudden firing of Attorney General Jeff Sessions after the midterms, Donald Trump appointed former Sessions Chief of Staff Matthew Whitaker to take up the post, supposedly on a temporary basis.

This is a terrible idea for many reasons, not least of which that Whitaker has been accused of committing fraud numerous times in his past, as well as the fact that he has been vocally opposed to the Robert Mueller investigation into alleged Russian meddling in the 2016 Presidential election, unlike Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, who was inexplicably passed over for the promotion.

Nadler is clearly as troubled by the outrageous appointment as we are, so he has made it his mission to fully investigate what has gone on.

“Our very first witness on — after Jan. 3, we will subpoena Mr. — or we will summon, if necessary, subpoena Mr. Whitaker,” he said.

Nadler went on to slam Whitaker as a politician, calling him a “hatchet man”. He said:

“He’s totally unqualified. And his only qualification seems to be that he wants to be — that the president wants him to be the hatchet man to destroy the Mueller investigation.”

Watch out, Matty!
