The Country Has Responded To Trump’s Idiotic Military Parade And It’s Not Pretty

“Anything you can do, I can do better. I can do anything better than you.” This classic Irving Berlin line seems to be Trump’s mentality with his latest stunt – a military parade.

Trump has asked the Pentagon to start planning a military parade, much like the kind from yester-year, when Americans fought in wars that Trump dodged the draft from due to such inflictions as “bone spurs.” Apparently, he was inspired during is trip to France last July; in honor of Bastille Day, the French hold a huge military parade. It’s not as though Americans don’t hold military parades anymore, we do, but they are held down the Main Streets of small American towns. The last parade at the scale Trump is now interested in was under George H. W. Bush in 1991, after the United States came home with a victory in Iraq.

When news of this parade were made public, the American people went off, blasting against a parade for Trump, because, really, it’s only to feed his ego.

The Daily Show with Trevor Noah aired a satirical segment on the parade’s announcement.

Even Fox News got in on the hate. Fox and Friends host Brian Kilmeade expressed his doubts.

“I don’t know,” said Kilmeade. “It seems like a waste of money.”

Finally, some kind of sane, rational thought coming out of Fox News! I think this is the biggest indication yet that Trump is an absolutely mental figurehead who wants to turn the United States into a dictatorship. He can say all he wants that he was inspired by France’s celebration for Bastille Day, but really? He’s not fooling anyone. What North Korean dictator holds huge military parades regularly to flaunt their supposed power? Kim Jong-Un. Interesting. This is just the next step to turn the United States into a mockery and move farther and farther away from the republic we have come from.
