Trump Jr. Shares Light-Hearted Meme To Discuss Serious Allegations Against Kavanaugh

Days after Judge Brett Kavanaugh, President Donald Trump’s nominee to the Supreme Court, was accused of sexual assault by a woman who knew him as a teenager in the 1980s, the president’s son, Donald Trump Jr., took to social media to lend his critique of the situation.

Trump Jr. shared a meme to his Instagram account, lambasting the new allegations made by Dr. Christine Blasey Ford, who said that Kavanaugh assaulted her when the two were younger. The professor at Palo Alto University alleges that more than 30 years ago she was forced onto a bed by Kavanaugh and a friend of his, and that Kavanaugh had tried to undress her and groped her over her clothes.

During the encounter Ford said she tried to scream out for help, but Kavanaugh covered her mouth in an attempt to keep others in the house from hearing her. “I thought he might inadvertently kill me,” said Ford of the incident. “He was trying to attack me and remove my clothing.”

According to her recollections, she was able to escape when the third person in the room jumped on the bed, causing a separation between her and Kavanaugh.

Trump Jr. determined his best course of action to respond to these allegations was to make light of them in a joke. He also purported them to be a ploy by Democrats, to stall or derail Kavanaugh’s confirmation to the High Court.

Trump Jr. shared a meme on his Instagram earlier this week, which was an image of a classic ask by a student to another in grade school about whether they “like” them or not.

“Hi Cindy,” the note in the meme reads. “Will you be my girlfriend?” Two options are given places for checking off — yes, or no. “Love, Brett,” the note concludes.

Trump Jr. captioned the post by writing, “Judge Kavanaugh sexual assault letter found by Dems…”

“Oh boy…the Dems and their usual nonsense games really have [Kavanaugh] on the ropes now,” Trump Jr. added in the post.

Trump Jr.’s attacks on Ford were criticized, though not entirely unexpected by some. Reporting from earlier in the week from sources within the White House indicated that his father had planned to go after Ford himself in the coming days.
