Trump Just Got Blindsided By Another Major Publication. He NEVER Saw This Coming

Everyone has been throwing shade at the President as of late, and with good reason. However, doesn’t everyone just feel extra fantastic when it comes from the most unexpected of sources? I sure do. USA Today, a publication not known for blistering exposés on government officials, has now entered the conversation regarding Trump’s treatment of women, both past and present, with a scathing editorial piece.

“With his latest tweet, clearly implying that a United States senator would trade sexual favors for campaign cash, President Trump has shown he is not fit for office,” said The Editorial Board, who wrote the USA Today piece in total solidarity. “Rock bottom is no impediment for a president who can always find room for a new low.”

The Editorial Board’s message addresses Trump’s most recent tweet controversy, where he implies that Senator Kristen Gillibrand (D-NY) would give sexual favors in exchange for campaign funding. Although Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders dismissed that inference into Trump’s tweet, The Editorial Board disagrees.

“A president who would all but call Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand a whore is not fit to clean the toilets in the Barack Obama Presidential Library or to shine the shoes of George W. Bush,” wrote The Editorial Board.”This isn’t about the policy differences we have with all presidents or our disappointment in some of their decisions. Obama and Bush both failed in many ways. They broke promises and told untruths, but the basic decency of each man was never in doubt.”

USA Today has never been a political publication; in fact, the entire Editorial Board broke their silence and publicly, unanimously stated last September that Trump was “unfit for the presidency.” As horrible as our political landscape has become in the last year, the one positive I see from all this is that it is waking people up. Americans that were complacent and felt as though the dealing of the government was some far away happening that had no bearing on their everyday life are starting to feel differently. They now recognize how important it is to call their representatives, go out and vote, and make sure the people they are voting for have platforms they truly support. That sounds pretty good to me.
