Marines’ Top General Is Leaking Intelligence To Protect Service Families From The Consequences Of Serving Under The Trump Administration

Perhaps the most well known thing President Donald Trump has ever said around the world, even more well known than “You’re fired!”, is his ridiculous policy pledge to build a Wall along the United States’ southern border with Mexico. He has been President of the United States and leader of the free world for well over two years now and although most of that time has been spent somehow trying to fight against allegations of Russian collusion and obstruction of justice despite hordes of damning evidence from Special Counsel Robert Mueller, Trump has spent the rest of his time in the Oval Office trying his very best to push through this ludicrous idea, to no avail.

Let’s not forget, the President actively caused the longest government shutdown in all of American political history during a mega tantrum over the fact that Congress refused to fund the Border Wall. Unsurprisingly, that did not persuade them, and Democrats on Capitol Hill, led by the heroic Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi, are still flat out refusing to shell out shedloads of public money for the project. Trump has even tried to declare a national emergency in a last ditch attempt to cobble together some funds to pay for the Wall, despite a veto to that proposal from the Senate, which was supported by several previously loyal Republicans.

However, recent reports are making clear that the Border Wall is more than just a bad joke of how bad a President that man is. It actually threatens to have very real consequences for many communities and entire sections of societies. One of the worst hit groups by this incredibly clumsy move would be service families, to the point that the Pentagon is now actually taking incredible steps to mitigate against that:

The Marines’ top general allowed internal memos to leak out of the Pentagon to bring attention to service families living among hurricane-ravaged military installations as the Trump administration tries to bankroll the southwest border with defense funds at the expense of combat readiness. General Robert Neller, the commandant of the Marine Corps, let two internal Defense Department memorandums leak to The Los Angeles Times and NBC News in the past two weeks, two Pentagon sources, who asked not to be named due to U.S. military media regulations, told Newsweek.

That’s right. This is the point we are at now. The Pentagon is literally having to leak internal government emails to warn service families about what the President is doing. How much longer can this go on?
