Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez responds to Marjorie Taylor Greene, mocking her biblical knowledge

Last week, controversial freshman Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R. GA) again found herself the target of mockery for saying that COVID-19 is a bioweapon because God would never unleash a deadly virus on the earth.

There is indeed speculation that the coronavirus may have originated in a lab, but there is no indication whatsoever that it was weaponized and released intentionally.

But the brunt of the mockery Green received over the statement came from her proclamation that God would not create a deadly disease, when in the bible she claims to read features a long section of God  unleashing plagues on ancient Egypt for holding the Hebrew people as slaves.

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D. NY), a frequent verbal sparring partner of Greene, retweeted the story and included the mocking caption “Tell me you’ve never read the Bible without telling me you’ve never read the Bible.”

Greene  responded to AOC’s tweet a few days later and challenged her to debate/discuss the Bible with her as well as her  “support for Hamas terrorists attacking Israel,” which isn’t actually a thing. AOC does not support Hamas’ terrorist acts, and has even publicly called their actions condemnable. Republicans, however, take any call, like AOC’s, for more human treatment of the Palestinian people as support for terrorism, which is right in line with their offensive, racist positions.

Greene challenged Ocasio-Cortez to debate her about her perceived “Socialist plans to destroy America,”

Most people believe the two are on completely different planes, in terms of intelligence and integrity, as AOC is working hard for her constituents, while Greene focuses on spreading easily disproven election fraud lies and other cooky conspiracy theories, meaning a debate between the two would likely be a huge waste of time.
