Parler, the social media site long favored by supporters of Former President Donald Trump, has now been revealed to have alerted the FBI to planned violence on their platform multiple times before the January 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol Building.

On Tuesday, Rep. Carolyn Maloney, a New York Democrat, revealed in a video to the House Oversight Committee that Parler outed their members to federal officials and that they sent more than 50 warnings of the impending violence.

Maloney said “the threats, I would say, were everywhere,” adding “the light was blinking red.”

The FBI was seemingly well aware of the attack being planned on the halls of Congress. It remains unclear how much of that information they shared with Capitol Police or anyone in Congress on relevant committees.

The iOS app for Parler came back to the Apple App Store last month, after what the company says were “months of productive dialogue with Apple” following being kicked off Apple products following the Capitol insurrection.

Parler interim CEO Mark Meckler explained at the time:

“The entire Parler team has worked hard to address Apple’s concerns without compromising our core mission. Anything allowed on the Parler network but not in the iOS app will remain accessible through our web-based and Android versions. This is a win-win for Parler, its users, and free speech.”

Parler bills itself as the free speech alternative to Facebook or Twitter and was banned by Apple and Google, and suspended by Amazon following the Capitol riots.

The big tech companies said that Parler had not sufficiently handled violent threats and hateful content on their platform that helped encourage and incite the riotous mob.
